Pam Fleischer: Marketing director for Creative CandlesWhat’s your best beauty secret? Teeth and skin maintenance. What are your teeth and skin regimens? I don’t do any of the whitenings or anything. Maybe I should. But I just think normal good dental hygiene — flossing and brushing — are important. I take pride in my smile. As for skin, I just moisturize. I prefer the Darphin line from Halls for my skin care products. I have not succumbed to any Botox. I think bright eyes and a pretty smile can carry you throughout the different ages. What’s the beauty product you could not live without? Hair coloring. I’m very short, and I hate that people can look down and see my regress. What color do you prefer? The color my stylist and I have come up with, what we call “When Pam Was 4.” I get my hair done at the Hair salon in Westport. What does “When Pam Was 4was” look like? It looks like a deep brown, but when the sunlight hits, there’s some auburn highlights.
Carolina Hernandez: Owner of Eclektica Salon in BriarcliffWhat’s your best beauty secret? Besides the obvious — sleeping good, a balanced diet, lots of water, removing makeup at night and exercising — to me, the most important thing is feeling good about yourself, loving who you are and celebrating what makes you different. Look at yourself in the mirror and notice something beautiful about yourself and cheer yourself up every day, even if you are having a rough start. What’s the beauty product you could not live without? My Serie Expert Powershots from L’Oreal Professionnel. I use my Chi iron and dryer every day, so I need to protect my hair using the right products. L’Oreal shots come in different formulas for each type of objective, depending on the season and the look you want to achieve. And the more you use them, the more your hair benefits over time. This is a professional service offered by L’Oreal-trained hairstylists. Anything else? My other favorite thing I can’t live without is perfume. A fragrance is something that is not easy to forget. I associate my mom with gardenia because she always wore a fresh gardenia on her right ear. I love Kiehl’s products: simple basic skin-care system, a little more delicate.
Vanessa Servo: Professional actress What’s your best beauty secret? Sleep. I think that’s the one thing that could beautify anyone. How much beauty sleep do you require? I think it’s different for every person, but no less than seven, never more than nine. Because then you get the sleep hangover, where you never fully wake up. I usually get between eight and nine hours to keep that pretty, tight skin. What’s your backup plan for looking your best after a late night? I definitely do a very strong coffee in the morning and use extra moisturizer on my face, because when you lose sleep or are sleep-deprived, your skin gets dry. Then I drink only water for the rest of day or green tea. What’s the beauty product you could not live without? A good moisturizer. Any moisturizer in particular? I think any kind as long as it has a water base, which is usually the best. I use anything from Mary Kay to a product at Bijin Salon that has sea aloe and water and keeps moisture in the skin.
